How to Create a Temp Chat

HZ Chat allows you to create and join temporary chat sessions instantly. No registration is required.

01 / Create Chat

To start a new chat session:

  1. On the home screen, click the Start New Chat button.
  2. A random Chat Code will be generated automatically, and you’ll be taken directly into the chat page.

02 / Share Chat

Once your chat session is created, you can easily share access with others:

  • Copy the Chat Code: On the chat page header (left side), your current chat code is displayed. Click it to copy instantly.

  • Copy Full URL: Use the Share button on the right toolbar to copy the complete chat link.

  • Show QR Code: The same Share menu allows you to generate a QR code for quick joining.

03 / Join Chat

Participants can join an existing chat session in several ways:

  • Using a Chat Code: Enter the shared Chat Code on the home screen and click Join.

  • Using a Full URL: Open the complete chat link directly in a browser.

  • Using a QR Code: Scan the shared QR code with a mobile device to open the chat in a browser.

All messages and files are synced instantly across active participants, ensuring a real-time collaborative experience.

04 / Export Chat

To save a record of your conversation before a session ends, you can use the built-in export feature. This is essential since HZ Chat sessions are temporary and all data is permanently cleared once a room is closed.

  1. Click the More Options menu (three dots) in the top-right corner of the chat interface.

  2. Select Export Chat from the dropdown list.

A text file (.txt) will be generated and downloaded to your device instantly. This file provides a structured chronological log of the entire chat history, including specific timestamps, sender names, and message content. For any shared attachments, the export will record the filename and any associated notes for your reference, but it will not download the actual binary file data. We recommend manually saving any important images or documents individually before the session expires, as unexported history cannot be recovered once the room is closed.

05 / Leave Chat

To exit a chat session, use the Leave option in the chat page:

  1. Click the More Options menu (three dots) in the top-right corner and select Leave Chat.

  2. A confirmation dialog will appear, allowing you to leave the chat safely.

For Chat Creators:

  • If you are the creator, a notice will appear:
    “You’re the creator of this chat. If you leave now, the chat will stay open and others can continue chatting.”

  • You have the option to End this chat for everyone by checking the box.

    • Everyone currently in the chat will be notified.
    • The chat will automatically close in 1 minute, and all participants will be disconnected once the countdown ends.
